  • What to do after the death of a loved one?

    When you meet with the notary, you need to give them:

    • The death certificate (acte de décès)
    • Bring with you their bank statements and investment records, the paperwork for their car, the title deeds, and the invoices for the funeral.
  • You want to make a gift to your children

    When you meet with the notary, you need to give them:

    • Your family records book (livret de famille)
    • Proof of identity
    • The marriage contract of the givers and receivers of the gift

    Identify the type of gift you wish to give (financial or real estate)
